Squires Designer Homes Pty Ltd was honoured to be the recipient of the inaugural Master Builders Sunshine Coast Lifestyle Award at the recent Awards night held at Caloundra Events Centre.

Missing out on the housing and construction award for its category, judges announced our entry was too good walk away empty handed and so created a new award called the Sunshine Coast Lifestyle Award.

In their view, our entry of the Yorlambu New Build embodied all that homes aspire to achieve when building on the Sunshine Coast. It was a combination of embracing the movements of the sun throughout the day to ensure a bright, light-filled home was met with natural breezes from the nearby ocean.

Our semi-tropical climate means many summer days and nights are spent outdoors and this home embraced the need for blurred lines between inside and out.

A pool house/multi purpose room overlooking the pool with glass sliding doors on two sides ensured flowing through-breezes in summer and insulated warmth throughout winter to accommodate all seasons.
